For non-contact data transmission technology, the RFID is based on electromagnetic waves, which ensures a fast transfer of unique serial numbers. The design of the transponder has been specially adapted to PPE products. The passive UHF transponder is activated by the scanner and does not require an own power source.
The UHF frequency bandwith is 860 - 960 MHz. When using UHF, inexpensive and individual transponders can be used. Due to the strong transmission power, products can be scanned over relatively greater distances. In addition, this technology is significantly less susceptible to interference with metallic components. In practical terms, this means that digital readability saves time and money, considerably extends the service life of PPE products and significantly reduces the human error chain.
In addition, RFID is optimally applicable with the EDELRID GearPilot.
An important advantage of the UHF technology and the very high frequencies in the bandwidth of 860 - 960 MHz used here is the comparatively high range. With passive transponders, ranges of 2 - 6 meters can be achieved without negatively affecting the reading speed.
The compact RFID writing and reading device in pen form is particularly suitable for small transponders (including mic3 technology) up to chip card format and is compatible with all RFID chips from EDELRID.
Simply fill out the form below. Your request will be forwarded directly to Microsensys. Our sales partner will then contact you directly and send you a concrete offer. (Sending the form is only for contacting us and does not oblige you to purchase the RFID reader).
The Gear Pilot app makes the administration, documentation and inspection of your PPE products a childs play.
