In 1953, with the invention of the kernmantel rope, our company fathers revolutionized mountaineering and made us what we are today: EDELRID – THE ROPEMAKER.

It is the engine of our innovative power and it shapes our self-image. Our heritage has grown and solidified our values over the years.
